Who we are?

MedWise Safety Services is a business born out of two passions, one for emergency medical and safety training and the second for conservation.
MedWise was started in 2009 with a goal of making a difference to the First Aid and Safety training standards being offered to Nature Guides and Lodges. In 2012 we started specialist training for Game Guards and Field Ranger using our practical “Reality Based Training” taking the student out of the classroom and into the field. With an understanding of the risks, challengers and difficulty faced in the Game Reserve and Lodge industry we structured our training to meet the needs of the end user, the person on the ground.

What we do?

We offer industry specific workshops and accredited training courses
Run simulated incident scenarios workshops
Offer Hazzard Identification & Risk Assessments

Supply industry specific first aid and emergency medical equipment

How we can help

Our specially designed courses make sure that the training is relevant to the special needs of the “first aider” working in the bush. With our passionate for safety and conservation we have designed our course to fit needs and the budge of the industry.
By exposing candidates to Reality Based Training which is simulating incidents that they could encounter in their daily life, our courses provide a more relevant practical focus. This allows candidates the opportunity to get some ‘as real as possible’ hands on experience. This builds confidence, which is essential for a competent first aider (we do not try make a first aid into an ops medic).
